Josh Linam is a professional dog trainer committed to helping owners and their canine companions have an enjoyable, relaxed life together. He finds it immensely rewarding to witness the profound changes in a dog’s behavior and the subsequent growth in the relationship between owners and their companions.
His journey into dog training started just over 6 years ago with his rescue dog, Ajax. A powerful Rottweiler/GSD mix— who was 60 lbs by 6 months— quickly became a nightmare to walk due to his extreme leash reactivity. The experience was anxiety provoking for everyone involved. Committed to providing the best life possible for Ajax, Josh started to explore behavior principles and training philosophies. The journey was truly an evolution for Josh as an individual and a dog owner. At 100 lbs, Ajax is now one of the easiest dogs to walk alongside his two-year old son.
When Josh is not dog training, you can find him in the mountains hiking or mountain biking. He loves to travel with his wife, Hattie, and son, Jonas, and he is always looking for new adventures. In addition to their dog, Ajax, they also have two feline friends, Jiminey and Gapetto. Josh grew up in Tucson, but just recently moved back from Bend, OR. Though he was sad to say goodbye to the nearby ski mountain, he’s glad to be back home with the great weather and Mexican food.
