We have a very happy and very energetic pup and she came to us through a rehome. She is noise and leash reactive and believe this is her odd way of trying to make new friends because there isn’t a creatures she’s encounter that she doesn’t love. However, this makes it very difficult to take her on walks, have the windows open in a nice day and we certainly can’t take her anywhere including our local dog wash.

I was referred to chill out from a friend who had a great experience and let me tell you, the training after one session has turned our lives around. We tried to do positive reinforcement but that didn’t help any of us, trying to do distraction training also failed since she was so focused on what she saw. Chill out training along with proper e collar training was our win. We were able to easily retain what we learned in our first session and abbi also praised us for the things us humans were doing right. We still have a ways to go to our sweetie is her best self but we already see improvements that are lasting to the next day and week.

I could not recommend Chill Out Dog Training enough! Scott has been absolutely amazing to work with. I did the package with three 1.5-hour sessions using the stim collar, and the difference it has made has been incredible.

My dog already had a really great training foundation, but Scott helped us take it to an entirely different level. I’m now able to have him off leash on trails with so much more confidence and control, which was one of my biggest goals.

What I really appreciated was that Scott didn’t just focus on training my dog, he started by training me. He even had me feel the collar on myself so I could understand exactly how it worked and become comfortable using it before ever using it with my dog. I loved that approach because it made me feel much more confident and responsible with the tool.

They also went above and beyond by meeting me at Skiptown to work on socialization and play behavior. Scott gave me a behavior guide and showed me what to look for so I can continue working with my dog on learning how to play appropriately with other dogs.

You can tell they genuinely care about setting both the dog AND the owner up for long term success. I will most definitely be purchasing more sessions because I want to continue both his training and, honestly, my own training as an owner.

Cameron was absolutely amazing! I’ll admit I was skeptical after the phone consultation when I was told I would notice a difference in Fuller after just one session, but this was one of those times I was genuinely thrilled to be proven wrong.

After Fuller and I were attacked by another dog, he became extremely reactive, and our walks left both of us constantly on high alert. I was at my wits’ end and didn’t know how to help my boy feel safe or confident again.

Cameron arrived right on time and was incredibly professional throughout the entire session. While we were discussing the training tools in my lobby, a few dogs walked by and Fuller immediately began barking and growling. Cameron stepped in and showed me how quickly Fuller’s behavior could change by redirecting his focus and reassuring him that he was safe.

We then spent the next 90 minutes walking through my neighborhood and practicing techniques in real-life situations. Cameron didn’t simply take over or train Fuller for me. He let me learn by doing, coached me through each situation, and showed me how to use the tools confidently on my own. He didn’t just rebuild Fuller’s confidence; he rebuilt mine, too.

It has now been a few days and several walks since our session, and Fuller already feels like a completely different dog. We can finally focus and enjoy our walks instead of constantly being on guard. This experience was worth every cent for the peace of mind it gave me and the sense of security it helped Fuller regain. I finally feel like I’m getting my happy boy back, and I cannot recommend Cameron enough!

My dog Tilly was very leash reactive when I first adopted her. She would get really excited and start lunging and whining when she saw another dog and also bikers, bunnies, and babies. I couldn’t control her and she would sometimes displace her excitement onto me - which was scary. I was really at the end of my rope when I started researching board and trains and felt demoralized and hopeless.

I worked with Abbi and the results are night and day. I can now walk Tilly at any time of the day, in crowded settings (we even sat in a busy brunch patio in Granby and saw several other close proximity dogs), do close passes with other dogs, go on hikes, you name it. Abbi is so knowledgeable, patient, kind, and helpful. Tilly at first had a negative reaction to the ecollar and Abbi was very responsive via text / got on the phone with me very quickly to help course correct before our next session. I booked 6 sessions just in case but only needed 4.

Absolutely would recommend using Chill Out Dog Training. Abbi was great. It was really seamless how she worked with both my dog and myself for the level of training we came in at to get us to where we wanted to be. The progression between the sessions was great, the discussion around how to use the tools was great, and I left each session knowing what to work on on our own before the next session. My dog and I got to where I wanted us to be when we started out, and I feel like I have the tools to keep us improving.

Working with Abbi from Chill Out Dog Training was absolutely transformational for our dog!! Over the course of three 1:1 training sessions, Abbi worked with us to find tools and training strategies that were tailored to our dog's unique needs, and she equipped us with a plan to continue making progress with our dog long after our final training.

Prior to working with Chill Out Dog Training, our dog lunged at guests who entered our home, barked non-stop at passersby, and would unpredictably snap at strangers. By the end of our final session with Abbi, our dog had made life-changing progress on problem behaviors we had struggled to address for years. We are now able to have guests over, our dog no longer barks at people outside (even the mailman), and we are far less worried she is a bite-risk. Investing in individualized training with a company that specializes in working with reactive and anxious dogs was the single best return on investment we have ever made. I was very nervous about starting e-collar training for my hyper-reactive Cattledog, but our trainer Cameron led us so expertly through the whole experience. I knew right away that he was going to be a great fit as soon as I felt his calm, firm guidance; as we all know half the training is for the humans!

As for results - to say it's been a life changer is underselling it. I am now able to walk my dog on loose leash, my own fear and anxiety level is down to 2 throughout most of the walk and Cameron was even able to train for strangers entering the home without my dog feeling like we were about to be murdered. All things that I sincerely did not believe were possible -- and accomplished in three sessions.

We’ve had great experiences with Chill Out Dog Training over several training sessions. We worked with Cameron 1.5 years ago with our first and are currently working with Abbi since we have a new dog. Both trainers have been extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We saw results after one training sessions for both trainers. Not only are our dogs less reactive, we also feel more confident in taking our dogs out.

Abbi is the best! We have had two sessions for our puppy Honey Bee who has had leash reactivity and even in these first two weeks it has been night and day! We are so excited to continue training with Chill Out Dog Training and Abbi and continue to see HB’s progress! I couldn’t recommend them enough!

Abbi was great! I have a new rescue pitty that was so reactive I had to stop taking her on walks. She would aggressively lunge and snap at dogs, scooters, skateboards, bikes, humans, cars, and pretty much everything around her. People in my neighborhood and my apartment building were terrified of my dog. The stress this created for me--and I'm sure my dog--was unbearable. I called Chill Out looking for emergency help, and they were able to come out the next day. After the first 1.5 hour session with my dog (Honey), she was completely transformed. I was immediately able to start taking her on walks, and I was also able to start running with her. I took her on a trail run on single track where we passed many dogs and humans, and she had zero reactions and acted as though she had been shipped away to boarding school and sent back to me as a reformed dog. t's now been a month, and I've had two more sessions. I had one week where we regressed a little, but my dog also wasn't feeling well, so it wasn't entirely surprising. Otherwise, Honey continues to do really well with minimal reactions. There will of course still be some training involved, but I am completely amazed how quickly my dog was transformed. I have a mini long-haired dachshund named Bobby who started out so well behaved. We were working hard to make sure he got the proper exposure and socialization that he needed to become a well rounded dog. After he turned one year old, another dog attacked him while on the leash. Ever since then he became unpredictable on the leash both to people and especially other dogs. We live in a small mountain town where the trainers said they would not accept reactive or aggressive dogs, making it difficult to feel enthusiastic about overcoming this behavioral setback.

We received a lot of harsh judgment when our main goal was just to support our pup the best we can. We had reached out to several training providers who made us feel even more discouraged. They would insist on the most intensive program they offer without ever even meeting Bobby. They would charge thousands of dollars up front without allowing us to tour their facility, only offer board and train programs, insist on only training with a collar and claiming the collar as a lifelong tool that would likely not be phased out. They would keep things vague and unclear on what to expect.

This made it all so confusing for us. Just when we were ready to throw in the towel and give up on finding a trainer that aligned with our expectations I was reading on a Reddit post and found Chill Out Dog Training. The post went on with several, several comments from many people claiming an overall great experience. Still a bit weary I chose to reach out. Scott answered all my questions, thoughtfully and thoroughly. Since we have to travel 2 1/2 hours to meet and train, he helped align us with a schedule and made it very clear on what we would expect. For the first time, I felt excited to work with a trainer, and felt that my expectations were being heard and attended to.

We worked with Cameron and have seen such an incredible difference in Bobby’s behaviors. I was at the point of feeling like maybe Bobby wouldn’t be the dog that could go everywhere with us and that we’d have to be ready for stress whenever we left the house, but Cameron and Chill out Dog Training as a whole has made us feel confident in Bobby’s potential and overall abilities. This has been such a refreshing experience!

I have a very spirited blue heeler with issue of barking, jumping, leash-pulling, and mounting other dogs. After an initial session with Scott and two follow-up sessions with Cameron, my dog has seen a complete positive correction with these behaviors. Chill Out is a well-worth investment. I also highly recommend going ahead and purchasing the package that includes the e-collar. This has been such an effective tool at correcting my dog's behavior and well worth the extra investment. Both Scott and Cameron were both very knowledgeable in their craft and were very effective with their methods. Highly recommend!

Simply put, Cameron is an amazing dog trainer and we very highly recommend him. We started working with Cameron for our 3 year old labradoodle Charlie. Charlie has a lot of anxiety and he is a barker. We also have a toddler whom Charlie was stealing food from, getting jealous of, etc. At first, we were VERY hesitant to try this due to Charlie’s sensitive self. Within three sessions, we have such a happier and well behaved pup, and it was totally worth it! I truly can tell Charlie feels more confident in himself, and he is still the most loving boy in the whole world. Cameron was so patient with us as we learned the e-collar, and he was also available via text when we had any questions in-between sessions. He was great at creating analogies to help my husband and I better understand situations and how to respond (so not only do I feel like we got training for Charlie, but I also feel like we learned so much about dog behavior in general). Abbi was wonderful to work with for our training sessions. We rescued our Golden in December and didn’t know much about his background. She always made us feel comfortable as we hit some milestones in our training. We would absolutely recommend Chill Out to others.

Our dog had major aggression issues with other dogs. The training was incredibly effective, a huge improvement after his first lesson. In fact his behavior was improving faster than we could accept and it took Cameron at our second lesson to demonstrate to us how much more relaxed we could be on encountering other dogs.

We are so grateful that we chose Chill Out for our dog's training. Our dog was a rescue that was pretty scared of a lot of things and highly distractible on walks and in public spaces. We struggled a bit with his impulse control and his fear driving him to do things such as run into the street. He also had started to show early signs of resource guarding.

We purchased a 3-pack of sessions and it is well worth the money. Scott was great at explaining things in real time, giving options to explore, homework and resources. After just the first session, he was able to disengage with something he was resource guarding and let us grab it.

After all 3 sessions he is a way happier, more fulfilled dog at home. He is able to be out in crowded public spaces and stay collected even when scared. We are so happy that we can continue to explore the world with our little guy in a safe way.

My dog is smart and for the most part very well behaved.. Occasionally he has some real aggression when it comes to resource guarding. I talked with Scott at Chill Out during the 20 min free consult. Scott suggested ways to work on this problem and if it didn’t help to call and schedule an appointment. I’ve implemented his suggestions and I am pleased with the results. It’s nice to know that ChillOut really cares about you and your dog and are not pushing training sessions that might not be necessary. If things change with my dogs behavior, I will not hesitate to call and schedule an appointment.

We have a whole new dog after 3 sessions with Cameron! Our young lab, Remy, is very happy and enthusiastic, but he was a huge pain to walk. He would act out aggressively when he got frustrated that he couldn’t get close enough to sniff other dogs. We tried so much positive reinforcement training, but he would get way too intense for us to be able to distract or entice him. Cameron gave us some options and said we’d get the quickest and most predictable progress with an e-collar. Remy almost immediately learned not to over-react or focus too intensely on other dogs. I was resistant to using punishment-based training methods, but it was unfair for us not to walk a high-energy dog enough because he was too hard to handle. I appreciated that we use the lowest noticeable setting on the e-collar so it’s just enough to get his attention and snap him out of his fixation and it’s made us all so much happier! Cameron seems to really understand dog behavior and emotions in a super helpful way so we can predict Remy’s reactions based on small movements or changes. I will say he was definitely stressed out after the first training session (when he needed the most correction) but he was his normal happy-go-lucky self during the other two. In addition to walks being a dream now, we got so many tips for manners around the house and in public. If you’re struggling with behavior that makes life with your dog difficult or are thinking about re-homing, Chill Out Dog Training is a great way to get a complete reset for your furry friend!

This training was completely lifechanging for my dog and our quality of life. This review is long-winded because the impact this training had on our lives is tremendous. My dog had a very complicated history before I adopted her - from severe neglect, to physical injuries, and behavior problems that seriously limited her ability to engage with others or what she could do outside of the home. I (with the help of other professionals as well, and the shelter I was initially fostering her through) had an incredibly difficult time training her - she had to be regularly muzzled, and went through countless training approaches, including medications, to no avail. She completed a four-week positive reinforcement only board-and-train prior to Chill Out that did not have a significant impact on her emotional regulation and behavior problems. I was prepared for a lifetime of accommodations for my pup, until an e-collar training was recommended to me. I had a consultation with another company and the trainer didn't really listen to me and seemed mostly focused on my money, before finding Chill Out and connecting with Scott. I truly felt heard and that my individual concerns and dog's needs were being cared for when talking to him. After the consult, I purchased the E-Collar Package with 3 individual training sessions and I could not be more happy with my experience with Cameron. I would never have imagined the confidence I now have in my dog. I have complete trust in her in every situation - she has 10/10 recall and knows & follows all of her commands. She now has the freedom to go off-leash hiking and backpacking, to dog parks (her favorite), and to new environments without concern. Cameron has been a life-saver for my dog James. I adopted him at 8 months old after he was shuffled between 4 different fosters due to being born deaf/blind. Not knowing how to train a puppy with these disabilities was so disheartening and Cameron changed everything for us. Not only is James not resource guarding or being aggressive anymore, he is able to sit, stay, and walk on a leash. He plays nicely with my other dog and is able to respect boundaries. Cameron has given him the gift of living a normal, full life even with his special needs and I couldn't be more grateful.

Cannot say enough good things about Scott. I worked with him from my initial consult call all the way through to the end. My dog had issues walking for long periods of time without stopping and sniffing things, sitting still at home, pestering guests when they would come over to play, and playing with other dogs. 90% of those problems were gone after the first session with the e-collar. The first session was a little nerve wracking as I didn’t know how my dog would respond, but Scott was extremely patient, clear and concise in his communication, and positive. From there each session got easier and my dog improved exponentially each time. It’s like I have a completely different dog now. Both Cameron and Abbi were very knowledgeable and taught me how to read my dogs body language to know the right timing for correcting negative behaviors. The sessions made a huge improvement and I would recommend either of them to anybody struggling with their dog. Chill Out Dog training has been a blessing to our two dogs. After starting to see some unfortunate aggressive behavior we decided it was time to call in the professionals. I'm so happy that we stumbled upon Chill Out Dog training. We purchased the 2 dog e-collar package and just finished our last session today. I can hardly believe the difference in our dogs' behavior and manners already. As an example, previous vet appointments required two adults to load up, carry in and corral one dog! I cannot recommend this company enough! My dog, Mavis, was having severe reactivity toward bikes and people, and her behavior was only escalating despite the training I was trying to do with her. I came to Scott and Cameron with low hopes that they would be able to do anything that would make a difference, but after the 3-session package I can honestly say Mavis' behavior has improved so dramatically that I can comfortably take her on walks through the park past all of her former triggers. We worked directly with Cameron, and he provided lots of insight on use of the e-collar as a form of communication, methods of training for a reactive dog, and lots of encouragement. I cannot recommend this company enough, especially if you are feeling like you have already tried everything.

Chill Out Dog Training was great! The name says it all!! The tools that were recommended along with the tips helped right away! I only had one training session and I am already able to walk my Frenchies without pulling, jumping, and growling. Also was able to eliminate some other unwanted behavior around the house. Before meeting with Scott it was stressful to walk my pups. Today walking them was enjoyable and they seemed to enjoy it more as well! We were all less stressed! I'm so glad I tried them out! We just had our first session yesterday for our high prey drive boy Cobe. Other reviews said they saw a huge improvement after just one session but I was still trying to temper my expectations because every dog is different. But wow. Within the first 30 minutes of our session with Cameron I already saw a huge improvement in his ability to listen and not becoming fixated on distractions. That continued to be the case on our solo walk today. I would say it’s magic, but it’s just than talented and experienced trainers that give clear and concise directions. We needed to be trained just as much as Cobe and understanding how to use the e collar effectively is definitely going to be our saving grace. I did a lot of research comparing pricing, reviews etc. and I’m so glad we went with chill out dog training, it’s the best investment we’ve made in a while.

We met with Bridgette once for our pitbull who struggled with leash reactivity. This behavior seemed to come out of nowhere, and we were very concerned. He also had issues with leash pulling. After meeting with her, we saw insane improvements in our dog. He no longer barks and and gets upset at people and dogs on walks. His pulling has also mostly stopped. We will still have to work with him at home for a while before all of our concerns are corrected, but I am super happy with this service. It was money 100% well spent.

My husband and I did the e-collar package with 3 training sessions with Bridgette and it was one of the best investments we’ve ever made for our 2 year old border collie. Our dog was reactive on walks, lunging and barking at other dogs and our goal of having her off leash on hikes and at the park seemed unattainable. After 3 sessions, her behavior on walks has made a total 180 and we have made great progress on her recall and off leash behavior with a 50’ leash. ONE LESSON, that’s all it took for us to learn simple tools and routines to get my two senior dogs to stop incessantly barking at new people in our home.

I so appreciated that Scott and team squeezed us in, offered multiple options besides e-collars, and didn’t pass any judgement on the years of bad habits we were clearly working with. Even though my girls are both 13, we have drastically better behavior after one afternoon!!

If you're thinking about booking a session with Chill Out, DO IT! We adopted a dog, Hugo, that was reactive on leash to other dogs and I was trying to fix it on my own with a prong collar and patience but it was only getting us so far. We decided to take the plunge and commit to the 3 session + e-collar package, and I cannot recommend it enough. As Scott said on our consultation call, the first session was like an intervention and we haven't looked back since! The $ and effort has been so worth it. I feel confident on walks with Hugo now, and comfortable taking him anywhere. Our bond has been strengthened so much. Working with Cameron was great! He's very knowledgable and answered all of our silly questions as we worked together. I definitely recommend giving them a call if you're feeling stuck!

I have a 55 lb rescue dog, mix of Australian Kelpie and German Shepard. Quinn is 5 years old. Quinn would pull on her leash, not walk with me, be reactive to people, dogs, bunnies, and squirrels. My biggest issue was that I could not have anyone come into my home. Quinn would become very protective and reactive. After my first session, Quinn stopped pulling on the leash and would walk beside me. After the second session, the air conditioner repair man came into my home to service the air conditioner, and Quinn stayed in her bed as I held her leash. The repair man commented on how much better she behaved (I used to lock her in my room). Quinn now walks past bunnies and does not react to them. I had three sessions with Chill Out Dog Training. The first was at my home with Cameron. The second was at my home with Scott, and the third was at Washington Park with Scott. Cameron and Scott were wonderful. They were patient, kind, and shared a lot of important information with me. It is important that you also do your homework and enforce what you and your dog learn in between sessions. I am very pleased that I chose Chill Out Dog Training to help me train Quinn. I highly recommend them. It was important to me that I found training that would come to me because Quinn has some stomach issues. I could not envision taking her and leaving her somewhere for weeks. Cameron was fantastic with our 7 month old Blue Heeler mix. He helped with her leash pulling and other excited puppy shenanigans. Most importantly, he taught me how to give her the structure she needs to thrive. We've seen such a positive difference, highly recommend!

Bridgette was amazing! Highly recommend her. My dog was unable to walk on a leash. He would lunge at people and other dogs. She was easy to understand and showed us a simple and effective way to stop my dog's pulling. I've tried many dog trainers and she is the first one to help solve this problem. Our Golden had constantly barked for 4 years which very much disrupted our household. I thought of the trachea surgery as the bark collar we bought on Amazon wasn’t a solution. Cameron did a great job introducing the e-color. Within the first couple days, she has rarely barked and thank goodness life is peaceful again! A worthwhile investment for everyone!

I did two training sessions with Cameron for my dog and would highly recommend Chill Out Dog Training to any of my friends/family. I’m the 4th or 5th guardian of a sweet GSD with a lot of anxiety and incessant fence barking. Cameron did a great job of training both me and my dog. If the collar is on she won’t bark in the yard. I no longer have to use the stim. (I chose not to correct indoor barking)
She no longer eats poop and she can walk around the block without having a panic attack and trying to run home. The stim paused her fear reaction long enough for her to take her cues from me. Altogether, she’s a happier, more relaxed and outgoing dog. She has clarity on what is ok and not ok. (My guess is that there was a lot of confusing yelling at her in the past) l think she’s also happy to not have the “responsibility “ of being the barker. I highly recommend Cameron for his calm, clear and positive approach!

He completely transformed Louie from a rambunctious 9 month old puppy that was impossible to control into a dog that can walk through wash park calmly (still a work in progress, but has made amazing strides). I was at my wits end with my dog Willow when I requested more information from CODT. We’d been working hard with her to quell her reactivity issues and had even been using an ecollar as well, but we needed extra guidance and tools (including a better e-collar with a wider range of settings) to get ourselves and Will past the point we where we were. Scott is an exceptional dog trainer who I highly recommend to anyone who has a dog with behavioral issues. He is incredibly knowledgeable and excellent at helping people learn how to read their dog's behavior and use tools to correct. Prior to finding Scott and Chill Out dog training, we had used 5 or 6 trainers and felt so discouraged. Within one session of working with Scott, we felt so relieved and like we had finally found the trainer we had been searching for. He truly has impacted our dog and family's life in such a positive way by giving us effective tools to manage our dog's behavioral issues through his knowledge and extensive experience with dog training.

Best choice we’ve made for our pups was scheduling a session with Scott! We have 5 yr old Goldendoodle and a 2.5 yr old Sheepadoodle. Walks were absolutely miserable getting pulled around and were often the most stressful part of our days. Anytime we had company the pups would mob our guest at the door and especially with elderly parents we were concerned. Then we started having some resource guarding and fights break out in the house and we knew we had to do something. We looked into 2 week boarding training but couldn’t justify nearly $10,000 for 2 dogs. I was convinced it would take months of consistency with weekly classes before we would see any changes. After just ONE session with Scott using the e-collars (even at low frequency) our walks were completely night and day. The pups picked it up so fast and we all could enjoy walks again. The next session we worked on resource guarding and now we have a set of tools to make sure both pups are safe in our house. We’ve already seen improvements on greeting and now working on “place” in our next session. I’m so glad we went with Chill Out Dog Training and would recommend it to anyone who is looking to have a better relationship with their pup. Our girls have very different personalities (headstrong & timid) and Scott was able to adapt the training to both of their needs.

We have had a wonderful experience with Chill Out Dog Training. Our dog was very reactive when we first got her, both to other dogs and anything on wheels (bikes, scooters, skateboards, etc). We were so excited to take our dogs when we rescued her but walks were not enjoyable because she was so reactive. Through working with Cameron, our pup has undergone some amazing transformation! Cameron worked on not only changing behaviors of our dog in the 1:1 sessions, but almost more importantly, training us as owners on what we should be doing outside of our training sessions to keep progress moving forward. We did three sessions with Cameron and now we take our pup on walks and hikes all the time, both of which are now very enjoyable for both her and us! We did a lot of research before selecting a training company and I am very happy with our results. Would definitely recommend Chill Out to anyone!

I cannot recommend CODT enough! I worked with Scott and Bridget and both are amazing! I went into the consult call very weary of using an e-collar and prong collar. Scott eased my nerves by explaining exactly how they use the tools and answered all of my questions until I felt comfortable! Before starting this e-collar training, I did not take my reactive pit bull on walks due to being dragged around and her barking at other dogs. Now we can pass right by other dogs with no reactivity! It has been incredible to see how far she has come in just 3 sessions. I feel confident that Scott has taught me how to properly use these tools and we can move forward with other goals such as off leash training and more public access training. Bridget joined us for our final training session and I learned a lot from her about reactivity and obedience training. I am forever grateful for the work CODT has done with training both myself and my dog to have a trusting and loving relationship! I've almost forgotten what life with an extremely reactive dog was like and now we love getting outside, going on long walks, and saying hi to other people and dogs!

Great experience for helping my fear based reactive dog! The training is really efficient and i was impressed how quickly my dog learned with their method. In 3 sessions we’ve addressed my pups issues. Can’t say enough good things about this program.

I can't recommend Cameron and the team at Chill Out Training enough. Our goldendoodles are great dogs who have received plenty of training in the past, but we had never been able to get them to behave on a leash. They would pull all over the place, get tangled up, and drag us after every runner, dog, squirrel, cat, or child that would pass by. There were more than a few times where walks would frustrate us to the point of tears (especially after a long day of work). We've so badly wanted to give them the Colorado dog experience, but any time we have taken them camping or hiking it has turned into a big mess. We couldn't even take them to sit at a coffee shop without them making some sort of scene with their barking and excitable behavior.

When we first met Cameron, we felt super reluctant about the E-collar. All I can tell you is it has changed our dogs' lives. Not only do they get pumped when we put on their collars (they have figured out it means extra long walk time), they seem so much more happy and at ease when we are out and about. Cameron gave us the perfect guidance to use this tool while also using meaningful training cues to guide them toward better behaviors. Our pups still have some work to do and we will be booking sessions in the future, but the 3 session package did more for our dogs than any previous training sessions combined. We have already taken them on more adventures in and around the city (including sitting on patios!) and look forward to hikes and lake trips when it gets warm out again. Even our neighbors have made comments about how well-behaved they are which is high praise because we definitely had "those dogs" in the neighborhood. This training is the best investment we've ever made for our dogs' safety and well-being.

Scott absolutely transformed my pup in one 90 min session. She was a leash aggressive, jumpy former stray who was absolutely impossible to walk and would bark at everything that moved. One session had her realizing she didn’t need to defend herself and wasn’t the pack lead. She is now the sweetest dog at the dog park, our walks are enjoyable, and she rarely if ever barks at people. Would recommend Scott to anyone who has adopted their pup and is worried about behavioral issues!

I own a Doberman Pinscher with social anxiety which has made life in a very populated neighborhood difficult. In addition to constantly pulling on walks, she also had unpredictable reactivity to dogs and humans. At home, she was constantly barking at passersby. After the first session with Scott, her pulling and reactivity improved ~90%. Walks with her immediately became enjoyable (and I stopped having to wear my SI belt to protect my back from an unrelated injury ha). She also stopped barking at every living thing that walked by our place. I could not believe that my main 3 concerns were so drastically improved within the first 1.5 hours of training! We have continued to work with Scott on a few additional issues, and he’s always very helpful, astute, and communicates clearly. I’m incredibly grateful for Scott’s help. My dog’s progress through this training has been life-changing for both of us.

Scott is great - just what we were hoping for with a trainer. My dog and I have completed one training session and have a follow up scheduled. I have a highly exuberant and reactive (excitement) male Great Dane. I had taken him to puppy classes, basic obedience classes, and tried my best to socialize him. But he's a wild 2.5-year old dude with leash and barrier reactivity. I'd worked with other trainers before Chill Out and had some small successes and set a solid foundation; however, I was to the point where I'd stopped walking my dog in my neighborhood because passing other dogs on the street or being surprised by a bike/motorcycle/garbage truck became too stressful to deal with. When I called Chill Out Dog Training, I was driving him and walking him in a business park area that was mostly free of triggers. I wanted to regain a sense of normalcy and after talking to Scott on the phone, I scheduled a session. Scott has been awesome to work with and I've had great results. He's taught me and my dog how to make e-collar training meaningful and I've regained a lot of confidence and control. After one session, I was able to walk Swayze in my neighborhood again. We still have some challenges, especially if we see other high energy or reactive dogs...but I feel equipped to handle 95% of situations and that's a place I never thought I'd be just a couple months ago. Chill Out Dog Training has been a really great investment - and Scott has been a great listener and continues to provide support.

Cameron’s perceptiveness into my dog’s behaviors has really helped me to understand why he does what he does. I was a little apprehensive about using the e-collar, but it’s such an effective tool to quickly give my dog feedback so he can understand what behaviors just aren’t necessary. Within 3 sessions my dog no longer pulls on his leash, he’s showing appropriate curiosity in other dogs on walks without aggression, he’s getting more comfortable with greeting new dogs, his recall is improving, and his barking at strangers or people he’s not comfortable with has improved so much. Throughout this process, I’ve really appreciated Cameron’s knowledge and insight. He has really taken the time to understand what my dog needs as a rescue dog that’s fearful of men, new people, and new situations. My confidence and my dog’s has grown so much, and I feel like I have the tools and support to continue working on things on my own (but we might need a follow up session or two- we’ll see!) The training materials on their website have been helpful too. Overall, I’m so glad I went with this company. Their outlook of helping dogs understand how to “stay in their lane”, redirect their behavior, and trust their human more makes so much sense. My dog was reacting out of anxiety, fear, and he just didn’t know what to do in situations- which meant I didn’t either! But now we’re on such a great track. I’m very grateful!

My fiancée and I used Chill Out for two sessions to work with our dog on a couple habits we struggled to break. Scott was great with our dog, Honey. We went with the E-Collar package deal and can say it was definitely worth it. After 3 sessions, Honey is now amazing on leash, does not howl when alone due to separation anxiety, and can now be trusted off leash. Great program for the price.

I couldn’t be more pleased with the training Luigi and I received from Cameron. After three sessions Luigi has learned to go to his place when guests arrive, to stay in the yard when the gate is open, come to me on command 100% of the time, walk by my side without tugging and so much more. We adopted our dog Nala in May of 2022 from a puppy mill in Iowa. Due to her experiences there, we had a long way to go to make her feel safe and comfortable. After about 7 months, we started to see some problem behaviors like separation anxiety, fear of men, strong reactions to minor noises or unexpected noises and incessant barking. We also struggled to have control over her when she would go on walks.

We had a consultation call with Cameron and really liked his approach. Cameron has been SO helpful to us. He’s helped us to understand Nala’s behaviors, know how to anticipate them and mostly importantly, know how to respond.

Chill Out Dog Training, and specifically Scott Ross, are exceptional dog trainers. Our dog was well behaved, but exhibited some less desirable behaviors such as impulse control around other dogs/humans (wanting to say “hi” to everyone and jump up on them), counter surfing, and pulling on the leash. Scott effectively — and quickly! — helped us to address all of these behaviors, and we have already seen drastic improvements in our dog in just a few weeks. For starters, he no longer counter surfs! If you’re on the fence, just do it! We highly recommend Scott and the team!

We absolutely loved working with Scott at Chill Out Dog training. Our rescue Weimaraner, Leo, was extremely reactive towards other dogs. We tried so many different training techniques and never saw results until we started working with Scott. I was skeptical of the reviews that would say “we saw results in the first session” but they were true! We truly saw results during our first session and not only did Leo build up his confidence but WE felt more confident taking Leo to busy parks/areas.
